Faith & Film

On Thursday (Sept. 22nd), the Crown College Arts Collective hosted a Faith & Film event on Wall-E, the Pixar film. Students enjoyed popcorn and the film while a question and answer session was had after Dr. Furlong spoke on the importance of reflecting on the film's messages regarding the spiritual implications of buying into the consumerist ideologies that consume us in the process, from technological distraction to political siloing to ecological and planetary collapse. It was a lively discussion and boosted over 50 attendees including notable faculty such as Chris Fletcher and Anthony Bushnell. The Arts Collective did a wonderful job putting on the event!
